My condolences for your loss. Wendy was a wonderful woman, an inspiration. I met her at Oasis and enjoyed many good books and conversations with our book group. On a personal level, I will always be thankful that upon hearing I was hoping to adopt a cat but no longer owned a car, Wendy instantly offered to drive me to meet my Luna. So like Wendy. She will always be remembered by so many.

Sending love and support to you for the loss of such a wonderful person. I had the privlege of being her student many years ago at CNS (1987). She was instrumental in helping me achieve a level of comfort in writing that I didn't believe I could ever achieve. Everything changed after her class. I never forgot the faith she put in my ability and the encouragement she offered. In the years since, I've been able to pass on so much of her spirit while teaching my own students. She made an amazing difference in my life and by extension, the lives of so many young people. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on through the lives she touched.

I just was getting to know her. We had lunch. She announced that my novel was selected as the CNY Reads One Book selection for 2026. I am shocked that this lovely articulate woman has passed and send my deepest sympathies to her family.

My prayers are with the entire Davenport family . I was fortunate to know Wendy as a colleague in the North Syracuse Central School District. She taught high school snd I taught 4th grade. Shana was one of my students at Bear Road Elementary in 1990. I would see her many times at Oasis where I took classes when I retired . Wendy was a true professional and she always cared for her students. I apologize for missing the services . Wendy is now at peace with the angels .
