Ethel Rosen

Ethel S. Rosen, 92, died in Tampa Saturday morning. A former resident of Syracuse, she had moved to Tampa in 2018 to be closer to family.
Born on July 20, 1928 in Buffalo to Sam and Bella Sirota, she was raised in NYC. After Ethel and Jack were married they settled in Buffalo, and in 1976 they moved to Syracuse. Her husband Jack, of blessed memory died in 2016.

During her professional career Ethel was a bookkeeper and enjoyed playing Mahjong with her friends. She was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and the sisterhood of the Temple. She was especially fond of working in the sisterhood gift shop. Ethel was a valued volunteer scheduling for the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.

She will forever be remembered for her love of her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy and focus of her life.

Private graveside services and burial are in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery for her immediate family including her children Sheila (Richard) Woltman, and Bruce (Mindy) Rosen; her grandchildren Rachel (Vincent) DeNitto, and Scott (Dulce) Woltman; and her great grandchildren Ethan, Olivia, and Isa.

Everyone is welcome to virtually attend Ethel’s service at 8:55AM on Thursday, August 27 on the Sisskind Funeral Service Facebook page.
