David A. Lipton of Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 28, 2020. He bravely battled cancer this past year.

David earned his J.D. Degree from Syracuse University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1989. He immediately went to work for a large law firm in New York City. In 1993 David moved to Atlanta, GA where he started his own practice to offer clients more personal attention and a higher quality work product. He later expanded his practice to Miami, FL.

David was admitted to practice law in New York, Georgia, Florida, Washington D.C. and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe.

He was predeceased by his father Alan Lipton and sister Carole (Lipton) Weiner.


He is survived by his wife Lori, stepsons Krister Erickson,and Stephan Erickson of Atlanta, GA; his mother Pearl of Monroeville, NJ; his sisters Joanne Lipton (Dr. Jeffrey) Maloff of Jamesville, NY, and Susan Lipton (Norman) Goldberg of East Brunswick, NJ; nieces Michelle Maloff (Christopher) Burke of Syracuse, NY, Juliet Maloff of Syracuse, NY, Sophia Maloff of Jamesville, NY, Marisa Goldberg (Michael) Leiberman of Katona, NY, Jillian Goldberg (Jarod) Lojeck of Stamford, CT, Sima (Jarret) Slepian of NYC, NY, and Molly (Scott) Goodman of Brooklyn, NY; and nephew Adam (Melanie) Goldberg of Fanwood, NJ.


Private Services were in Atlanta; with burial on Long Island, NY.
