Berta Boim (Tseler), 71, passed away peacefully in her home in Auburn on April 26th, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Volf Boim, her son Gennadi Boim (Marina Boim), her daughter Anna Boim-Marinelli (Michael Marinelli), her four grandchildren, Emilia, Gabriel, Michael Jr. and Anchel; and several nieces and nephews, including cousins Alex Bakal and Nelya Menache. She was predeceased by her mother Anna Tseler (Muchnik), her father Izya Tseler and her brother Lenya Tseler.
She was born in Ukraine and raised her young family there. Later in life she immigrated to Israel and then the USA. She was an avid learner of both Hebrew and English. She loved to spend time reading and writing the Torah in both languages. Berta loved gardening and being outdoors, but especially being out on the water, boating and swimming. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and especially her grandchildren, who will miss her immensely.
Services in the B’nai Israel section of Ft. Hill cemetery, Auburn are private in respect to family wishes. Donations in her memory should be made to Hospice of Central New and the Finger lakes. www.sisskindfuneralservice.com
