Marion Wahl Spoont, 88, died peacefully Wednesday evening. Born in Frankfort, Germany, Marion had been a resident of Binghamton for more than 50 years until moving to Fayetteville in 2015.
She was a past member of Temple Israel of Binghamton, the sisterhood of the Temple, Hadassah, The Orchid Society of the Southern Tier, and was a volunteer docent at the Roberson Museum of Binghamton.
Her husband Maxwell died in June of 2017.
Her family includes her children Michael (Martha) Spoont, and Michele (Deanna Bass) Spoont; grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca, Adam, and Connor; her sister Monica; and her brother Dieter.
Graveside funeral services and burial in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery are private for the immediate family. Contributions in her memory may be made to The Jewish Federation of CNY.
