M. Gray Weingarten of Syracuse was born in Binghamton in 1924 to William J and Hazel K Merwin.
Gray graduated from Syracuse University where she met her husband Keeva Weingarten.
Gray had three children and then returned to school to gain her masters in library science.
For many years she was the head librarian at Lyncourt school.
Gray loved books, jazz, travel and of course her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her three children, Art, Molly, and Esther and her four grandchildren,
Collin, Jay, Brian and Keery, her sons in law Jesse and Brian and daughter in law Diane.
She had an exciting and fulfilling life and a peaceful final 2 years, well supported by her children,
friends and caretakers.
She passed in her home of 63 years at the age of 94. She will be dearly missed.
Gray would have liked to be remembered by donations to planned parenthood.

Mrs Weingarten was one of my favorite teachers at Lyncourt growing up in the 60’s and 70’s. She touched many lives. It’s nice to know that she was blessed with a loving family and lived a full life.
