Joyce H. Meltzer, 81,died early Monday morning at Crouse Hospital. 
Born June 19, 1937 to Helman and Florence Rubinson in Hornel, NY, she
had lived most of her life in Syracuse. 
Joyce was a graduate of Nottingham HS, and the journalism school at SU.
She served on the boards of the JD School district, and of the PTAof many of the JD schools. Joyce was a long time member of Temple Concord.
Her family includes her husband Chuck of 59 years; their children Debra (Steve), Lisa (Jon), Robert (Kathy), and Dana (Adam); their grandchildren David, Noah, Sophie, Rachel, Aaron, Zachary, Sarah, Max, and Zooey; and her sister Susan (Henry) Goldner.
Funeral services will be promptly at 11AM on Friday December 21 at Temple Concord.
There will not be a calling hour prior to the service.
Private burial will be in the Temple Concord Section of Woodlawn Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed at Tobey and Neal Seidberg’s home on Saturday from 5-8PM
