Rose Franklin

Rose Franklin, 94, died Monday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital. Rose was born in Syracuse on March 5, 1924 to Morris and Sarah Lehman Berman. She had been a life resident of Syracuse. Rose worked with her husband Leon of blessed memory in their family business Leon Franklin, Inc. which provided school bus transportation to generations of Syracuse students.
Rose was an active past member of Temple Beth El, and a current member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. She loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered as a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and Gigi.
Rose’s family includes her daughter Lori (Lee) Kalin, her son Richard (Gayle) Franklin; her grandchildren Sara Cole, Mitchell (Kristin) Franklin, Alicia (Philip) Spevak, Lindsay (Andrew) Voigt, and Allison Franklin; and her great grandchildren Molly, Marissa, Lucy, Daniel, Madeline, Shay, and David
Funeral services will be at 1PM, Wednesday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service at the funeral home, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in the Workman’s Circle Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9PM at Lori and Lee’s home.

Dear Lori & Richard... It was our honor to have bosses like Leon & Rose and to be a part of the children's lives through our daily bus rides..we carry many fond memories and over the years we have been blessed to see some of those children as adults..life is delicate & beautiful and Rose lived a long one! Peace & Love to your families..
