I am so sorry to learn of Stan's passing. He was my partner in the practice of cardiology and my friend for many years. He was an excellent and compassionate physician who was greatly respected by his peers and his patients. The first day he walked into my office to start work he saw a picture on my desk of the Army hospital at Camp Zama in Japan. I had been stationed there during the Viet Nam War he had been stationed there during the Korean War as a medic. Little did we know that our paths would cross again in the future. Lucky for me!

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr Meltzer was one of the kindest doctor I ever met, including my Dad. I know he will be missed by you as you were always so close. I will never forget his Friday ties. He will be held close in our hearts by all who know him. God bless.

Both of my parents were patients of Dr. Meltzer's. They started seeing him when I was in my late teens. They did not drive or speak English, so I had to accompany them both to every visit. Dr. Meltzer always went out of his way to explain to me their issues, what their prognosis was and what meds they needed to take and why. Both of them had extensive issues, so this was no easy or quick task. He always demonstrated the utmost patience and compassion and always did it with a wonderful smile. This was a truly great man and I'm so sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences to the entire family.
