Warren Sebelowtiz

Warren L. Sebelowitz, 66, died early Tuesday morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Syracuse on January 16, 1952 to Leonard and Arline Jachles Sebelowitz he had been a lifelong resident of Syracuse.
He was a graduate of Nottingham HS, and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. During his professional career Warren worked at Allied Chemical, Pass & Seymour, and then at Chestnut Hill Elementary School in Liverpool until his retirement.
In retirement Warren enjoyed spending time with his family and playing ping-pong in the Town of Dewitt League. Warren loved music and enjoyed traveling to many festivals, and was a life-long Cleveland Brown’s fan.
His family includes his sons Scott, and David (Roberta); his brother Irwin (Gail); his loving companion of more than 20 years Roxanne Gettino and her children Kelly (Earl) McAlear, Adam (Sara) Gilkey, and Shawna Gilkey; his uncle Milton and aunt Eileen Jachles; his grandchildren Anthony, Brandon, Clayton, Hailey, Nicole, Daniel, Deavin, Alexis, Matigan, and Tatumn; many cousins and a large and loving extended family.
Funeral services will be at 11AM Friday March 2 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Friday at the Funeral Chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street from 9:45 to 10:45AM Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Golisano Children’s Hospital, or Temple Adath Yeshurun. www.sisskindfuneralservice.com

While my friendship has drifted since our school days, the fond memories persist. When I suffered the loss of my father, it was Warren that had suffered a similar experience, and was available to provide some insight to the pain and the process. Thank you for that, and for our early friendship.

David, Scott & Roxanne & Family Ralph and I were very saddened to hear about Warren passing. Knowing that he suffered with cancer and he is at peace now. No more suffering. We will remember all the fun times from the past. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Roberta & Ralph Cometti

Our most sincere sympathy goes out to Warren's family. My son and I played table tennis with him and enjoyed his company. He was a kind, considerate man. We will miss him. Colette Penell Randy Boyer
