Michael J. Sarette, 57, died February 28 after a very long illness. Michael grew up in Cloquet, Minnesota, and he graduated from Michigan State. As a programmer-analyst, he was instrumental in developing integrated pest management informa-tion delivery systems in two states. He was a longtime resident of CNY and most recently worked in the research division at Carrier Corporation. He co-authored two book chapters on living with MS. Despite a severe disability, he continued to enjoy travel and the outdoors. He was a warm, compassionate, funny, gracious and courageous human being.
Survived by his wife, Bernice Gottschalk; his mother, Winifred; siblings John, Catherine, William and Doreen (Gross); seven nieces; and a nephew.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Society of Concord. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the temple, 910 Madison Street, Syracuse.
