Sisskind Funeral Service LLC was established on February 1, 2005. Located at 3175 East Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13224, across from Nottingham High School, Sisskind Funeral Service LLC is a full service funeral home. 

Personalities are the cornerstone of every business. By nature, Steven is a caring and compassionate person. He listens very carefully to a family's requests and takes the trust placed in him very seriously. Making a very difficult time just a little bit easier is what it's all about~”it is why I do what I do. Without question, my wife Robin is an incredible asset to our business," Steven states. "She is always there to help during a service~ hanging up a coat, opening a door, or just offering a hand. My wife Robin, children Jaclyn and Ben, Josh and Kimi and William and of course my grandsons Ari and Eli are my greatest rewards!" Steven says. I thank our community and the families who I have been honored to serve. We will continue to strive to make a difference for the families we serve.

"Steven is a graduate of The Maxwell School at SyracuseUniversityand a graduate of Simmons School of Mortuary Science. He is a vice president of Temple Adath Yeshurun, an executive board member of MenorahPark, The Jewish Community Center, Syracuse Jewish Family Service and The Rabbi Epstein Hebrew High School. Steven is also a past president of the Onondaga-Oswego Funeral Directors Association, and the secretary of The Syracuse Jewish Cemetery Association. He has served the Jewish community ofCentral New York as a licensed funeral director since 1990. 

Options and choices are key to arranging a service, one family at a time. A funeral service may be conducted in our chapel, at a family's synagogue, at the graveside, or wherever a family may desire. We are here to accommodate your requests and personal choices. 

An integral part of the business is guiding people through the process of pre-arrangement, including the transfer of existing pre arrangements as mandated byNew YorkState. Whether revocable, or irrevocable, for Medicaid compliance, or just "so our kids won't have to worry", I make all of the necessary arrangements.

Monument consultation is also an integral part of the business.
